Parent Visas

Contributory Parent visas have a higher visa application charge but are generally processed sooner. Non-contributory Parent visas have a lower visa application charge but much longer processing times. The balance of family test is a key requirement for Parent Visas. Generally, a parent meets the test if at least half of their children and stepchildren are eligible children, or if they have more eligible children than children living in any other single country. We can assess whether you meet this requirement based on your family circumstances. The test does not apply to the Sponsored Parent (Temporary) Visa, so this may be another option if both the parent and sponsor meet the other visa requirements.
